What is included with our quartz and granite kitchen countertops installation services?

From start to finish, RONA is with you every step of the way. First, submit your information by using our interactive tool or by filling out our online form. We’ll connect you to work virtually or in person with a countertop specialist, with whom you will discuss countertop materials, colours, designs and service options.

Once approved, our service provider will contact you in 3 business days to schedule a template date. Provider comes to your home to create a template. Any post template adjustments will need to be paid for to continue. Once final order adjustments are made and the template is complete, fabrication of your countertop will take roughly 2 weeks. At this point, no cancellation is possible.

The installer will reach out to schedule the removal of your old countertops, if applicable, and the installation of your new countertops. As a final step, he will inspect the area with you to ensure proper installation and clean up the job site before leaving.

RONA offers a variety of materials and colours to fit any need and kitchen style

Granite

Strong, stylish, and scratch-resistant. Granite countertops are made from one of the toughest and most resilient natural stones in the world. Available in a variety of colours and styles, granite is a popular choice for its durability in the kitchen and luxurious look in the kitchen.

Quartz

Beautiful and low-maintenance, quartz countertops are non-porous, so they resist messy spills and don't need sealing. Quartz is made from a mix of natural quartz minerals and polymer resins, which makes it heat, stain and scratch resistant.

Need help finding the right product for you?

Refer to the example below to adequately measure your countertop, the edge and the backsplash

How to calculate the square footage:

Step 1: Divide the surface into rectangles and attribute each piece a letter (A, B ...).
Step 2: For each piece, multiply the width by the depth to obtain sq. in.

In this example:
A: 96’’ x 25.5’’ = 2 448’’
B: 82.5’’ x 25.5’’ = 2 103.75’’

Step 3: Add each surface’s sq. in. and divide by 144 to obtain sq. ft.:
(2 448’’ + 2 103.75’’) ÷ 144 = 31.6 sq. ft.

How to calculate the edge:

Step 4: Determine and add each side that will require an edge profile and divide by 12 to obtain the total linear feet.
(25.5’’ + 82.5’’+ 70.5’’ + 25.5’’) ÷ 12 = 17 LIN^ft

Step 5: Identify the edges that will require polishing with a dot.

How to calculate a backsplash:

Step 6: Determine and add each length that will have a backsplash and divide by 12 to determine lin. ft.
(96’’ + 108’’) ÷ 12 = 2 448’’

Step 7: Using a thicker line, identify areas where a backsplash will be installed.

For small projects, the work is usually done within a few days. For major projects such as kitchen and bathroom renovations, please allow additional time for essential steps including in-store consultations to create the plan, measuring process, and work order issuance.

Bear in mind that product availability, weather conditions, client availability, and work area conditions may have an impact on project timelines.
How do you ensure that your customers are satisfied?
Throughout the project, we provide constant customer care. Upon project completion, both the installer and customer inspect the work that has been carried out to ensure that it meets the customer’s expectations. If all is approved, the customer signs a work acceptance form. Finally, we contact each customer after the installation is completed asking them to fill out a survey for feedback on the job’s execution.
Are you insured for damage and accidents?
Yes, all RONA installers have liability insurance.
Whom should I call if I have a problem: RONA or the installer?

Product-related questions
What details should I look for during my quality assurance assessment with the installer?
• Inspect the holes drilled for faucets
• Inspect the countertop for chips, cracks or scratches

How should I care for my new countertops?
