Planning on building your dream deck this year but not quite sure where to start? Our Deck Designer has got you covered. Designing and building a deck is a big project. Use our virtual designer to plan your layout, pick your decking materials, and choose railings that best suit your style. The deck designer will supply you with professional 3D renderings of your project, estimated costs, a list of materials and more.
How the Deck Designer Works
1. Use a Compatible Device
The Deck Designer can be used on desktop and laptop computers operating on Windows or macOS. Only WebGL-enabled browsers are supported.

2. Create an Account & Start Designing
Creating an account is completely free and will allow you to save your deck plan. You’ll be able to consult your design whenever you want, make changes as many times as you want, and even share your project designs with a friend. You’ll also be able to create and save multiple projects! Most importantly, you can obtain a project ID which you can bring in-store to get help finding the right materials to start building.
3. Obtain Your List of Materials
The Deck Designer will provide you with the ability to download or email yourself your List of Materials. This List will provide you with much more than just a list! You’ll get 3D renderings of your design, a list of materials along with prices and an estimated project cost, building plans, component diagrams, and more! Everything you’ll need to plan your project like a Pro.
4. Visit a Store to Stock Up on Supplies
Happy with your design and ready to start building? Head over to your local Rona store* with your Project ID and/or List of Materials and visit the Pro Counter. One of our qualified associates will be able to review your project and to help you stock up on the building materials that you’ll need to bring your dream deck design to life!
