Copper and Birch Plywood End Table

Copper decorations are back! Easy to cut, just about anything can be made using copper pipes, including this end table. See the plan for plank dimensions and the assembly instructions.

Cut the pipes and the wood

  • 1.1 - Follow the plan to measure and cut all the copper pieces needed to build the table.
  • 1.2 - Measure and cut 3 – 16" x 16" shelves.

Pro Tip

It is preferable to protect the wood with paint, stain, or varnish.

Assemble the bottom shelf

  • 2.1 - Place 2 tees on either end of a 15" pipe.
  • 2.2 - Place 4 – 8 ¾" pipes into the tees. The piece should look like a capital H.
  • 2.3 - At the extremities of the H, place 4 tees.
  • 2.4 - Insert 1" pieces on the tees, and caps on the pieces that will touch the ground.
  • 2.5 - Place 2 – 2 ¾" pipes in the front tees, and 2 – 1" pipes in the back tees.

Assemble the middle shelf

  • 3.1 - Repeat steps 3.1 through 3.3.
  • 3.2 - Place the middle shelf onto the bottom shelf.
  • 3.3 - Place 2 – 10" pipes in the front tees, and 2 – 6" pipes in the back tees.

Assemble the top shelf

  • 4.1 - Repeat steps 3.1 through 3.3.
  • 4.2 - Place the top shelf onto the middle shelf.
  • 4.3 - Put the caps on the top tees.

Put in the shelves

  • 5.1 - Place the 3 pieces of wood onto the copper pipes and decorate.
