Prepare the door
- 1.1 - Unhinge the door, remove the handle and hinges, keep the hardware for reinstallation.
- 1.2 - Wash the door. It should be clean and smooth.
- 1.3 - Apply a coat of primer and two of paint.

Cut the sheet of MDF
- 2.1 - Measure and cut 2 – 80" x 5" x ½" strips from the MDF sheet.
- 2.2 - Measure and cut 5 – 20" x 5" x ½" strips.
Pro Tip
Paint the MDF strips before installing them onto the door.

Assemble the door
- 3.1 - Glue both vertical strips to the extremities of the door.
- 3.2 - Glue the top and bottom horizontal strips into place.
- 3.3 - Evenly space the 3 remaining strips and glue into place.
- 3.4 - Use clamps to set everything while the glue dries.

Install the handle
- 4.1 - Using a hole saw, pierce the strip on which the handle will be installed. The hole should be 1/8" bigger that the handle’s diameter.
- 4.2 - Reinstall the handle.
