Mason jar wall lanterns
These festive DIY lanterns have a unique style and will add a beautiful touch of light to any room in the house. Psst! They also make wonderful gifts.

Cut the wood plank
Take measurements and cut the wood plank with the circular saw to get a 14-inch plank.

Wrap the metal wire around the neck of the jar
- 3.1 - Wrap the metal wire several times around the neck of the Mason jar to increase the lantern’s solidity.
- 3.2 - Make a loop with the metal wire to hang the lantern from the hook.

Install the hook
Screw the hook in the centre and 2 inches from the top of the plank using the screwdriver.

Decorate your Mason jar
- 5.1 - Wrap the ribbon around the neck of the jar to cover up the metal wire and make a bow.
- 5.2 - Insert the light garland and then flowers.
Pro Tip
We’ve chosen live plants for the picture: eucalyptus, fir branches, cedar, hydrangeas and hypericum. If these flowers are not available in your region, or if you want a more durable decoration, you can use plastic twigs instead.
