Preparing the lightbulb

1.1 - With the drill bit on the drill, make a hole at the base of the lightbulb.
1.2 - Using the pliers, remove the ceramic from the base.
1.3 - Then, remove the glass and the tungsten filaments from the lightbulb.
1.4 - The lightbulb will thus be entirely empty.

Pro Tip

Always wear safety goggles and work gloves in case the lightbulb was to burst. Work with precaution.

Installing the jute string

2.1 - Measure and cut the string to the desired length. Don’t forget to take into account the fact that the string will be wrapped around the base of the bulb.
2.2 - Use hot glue to secure the string to the lightbulb’s base.
